Summer plans
I have big plans for the summer. I want to work and pay off a few bills and remodel my house. I have spent a lot of time on school and my other plans were put on the back burner, but now that school is almost out i'm looking forward to getting back to my other hobbies. I'm also looking forward to just doing nothing, like on saturday when I don't have to work, I want to just sleep in and take it easy the whole day. I'm also looking forward to spending time with friends that I haven't seen in ages and catch up with them. I want to spend time with family, namely my grandpa who's getting older as the days go by and strengthen our relationships. Theres a ton of plans I'm making but if I accomplish nothing other than spending time with family and friends I'll be happy.

Newt v.s. Mitt
Its election year here in America and all the candidates running are hard at work. There are sen.Rick Santorum, rep. Ron Paul, former gov. Mitt Romney and former speaker of the House Newt Gingrich. It seems everybody has agreed that the race has come down to Romney and Gingrich, they appear to be the most popular so far, but I say dont get the cart before the horse. There is no telling what could happen in the next few months and all are doing their best to get ahead of the rest. It amazes me the way that Romney and Gingrich are attacking each other. At first I thought it was funny, then I began to get a little weary of it, and now im sick and tired of it. It is so childish the way they go after the other one's throat trying to get ahead in the polls. First, one spends a million dollars throwing mud on the other one,who in turn rallies by publicly calling the other a lier. They think the only way to win the election is by pulling the sheet off the other and exposing the real person inside....and I agree.
My college life
My first semester in college has been a trip. It has been a whirlwind that has swept me along in a huge cloud of confusion. I didnt even know where my classes were, I had to find somebody to show me where they were. It is a totaly different world than what I was used to, but im finding that it's an exciting change, it can be tough at times but im happy to be here. It has been a breath of fresh air in my life that was quickly growing stagnat from a boring job. I have gotten over my fear of college that I had always held
Life is tough when you lose your stuff
"Mom where is my keys?" Is a question I ask very often to which I get the same reply "they are your keys, not mine!" I close my eyes, trying to contain my frustration. I absolutly hate losing things and it seemes that it happens more and more often these days. I dont know if it just a more hectic life, or my mind is slipping. One thing I do know is that life would be a lot better if I could just find things when I needed them, like keys. and dont get me started on my cell phone, i'm constantly telling other people to call me so I can find it
Roofing Blues
Im pouring in sweat, Im sure im going to die. My chest heaves with effort, I feel like im having a heat stroke. I rip into the shingles once more, nearly stumbling with fatigue, and I think of the irony that this is supposed to be spring break. I had agreed to do this roof over spring break because of money....I needed some very badly. life in college doesn't pay well and my truck likes gas.
The other side of the coin
There is two sides to every story I believe. It just depends on what the facts are. Take an argument between siblings for example, you will usually find that one is wrong and the other is right, however, the facts are usually lost in the heat of red faces and shouting words. It may have started out with one being right, but as it progresses the observer is not so sure, so you must hear both sides to establish the facts. The same goes for politics, one side tries to make the other sound evil and terrible while at the same time make themselves look good and truthful
Gobbling Toms
There is something magical in the sound of a wild turkey. I challenge anybody to experience turkey hunting and not get an adrenline rush. It's inevitable, it goes from boring to exciting as soon as the first tom sounds off, hand began to shake, breath comes in rapid bursts, heart begins to pound every eye begins looking around wondering where he might appear. You have to call in a wild turkey, that means you have to sound like a wild turkey, so you have to practice. by nature when a hen calls the tom will answere letting her know where he is at, but in hunting you must call the tom to you which is against his nature. There is nothing more exciting than to call in a big 'ol boss bird that is gobbling his head off
Rage for the road
Is it just me or is people getting crazier? It seems like I can't even get in my car and drive anywhere anymore without somebody fipping me bird. Why? Who knows? It's like a competition on the highway to see who can pass the most people, and when they get stuck behind a slowpoke they freak out. It's all the fault of the old lady in front of them. Really? C'mon man, the highway does not belong to you alone, there's hundreds of folks trying to get where they need to go just like you! Why dont you calm down and try to work with people? I think you will find it a positive alternitive to roadrage.
Big city life in Ada
I'v lived in Ada all my life. In all my memmories growing up I always find Ada to be at the center of every one. I can remember growing up a person could walk across Arlington street in the middle of the day without any danger of being hit by a car, but now however, it had better be early in the morning or very late at night in order to make it safely across. I can remember before Wal-mart was a supercenter, before Ada Ford had it's lot, and before Dicus went out of business, before Citizens bank expanded, and before Staples moved into town. There has been so many changes I couldn't begin to name them all, but I think it would be fair to say Ada is sitting prettier than she ever has.
Little House in the Big Woods
The only way to describe my grandparents house is old. It looked old, smelled old, most of the furniture was old and of course, they were old. One might think I would hate to go to my grandparents house but I loved every minute of it. There was grandma's kitchen with all the mouth tingling savours, grandpa's room with his guns, knives, and pictures of his military days. The hundreds of trees that covered the property begged me to explore them. There was cows, horses, dogs, chickens, fish in the ponds, and deer in the woods. What more could a boy ask for?

Hero brother
There are many positive things in my life im glad to say,but when I think of positive motivation I will always think of my brother.my brother has condition called obssesive compulsive disorder,a mental disorder that does not allow him to shift warnning thoughts out of his mind.He has had to learn how to think positively even when his brain is screaming at him to lock the door, turn off the iron, check on the baby.I remember the way he struggled with life growing up and its easy to think that someone like that will always be an outcast. But I think of the way he never gave up trying, and after a lot of hard work he forced himself to always think positive. He got a job,got married, and is raising a familiy. To look and talk with him you would never know anything was wrong.I can never alow myself become negative when my brother, who has been through so much more than me,can be so positive.

Prince Caspian review
Prince Caspian from the beloved Chronicles of Narnia series written by C. S. Lewis, comes to life through Walt Disney's production directed by Andrew Adamson. The main character, Prince Caspian, from the magical world of Narnia once lived a pampered life in the palace being groomed to become the next king of Narnia by his uncle, King Miras. But the birth of Miras' own son changes everything. Once next in line for the throne, he now is running for his life. With the help of his professor, Dr. Cornelius. From duels to battlefields to magical appearances of past kings and queens from 1,000 years before, he must prove to the creatures of Narnia that they can put their trust in him as their new established king. Caspian, with his newly formed army under High King Peter, back from the past, must wage war against the dark forces of his uncle's Telmarine soldiers. The gripping drama, the tense battles, and the mysterious magical occurences make this a very entertaining experience.

Deerslayer dad
My dad is an avid hunter. He loves to hunt and everything about hunting. It does not matter to dad what he hunts, deer, turkeys, coyotes,it makes no difference. I can remember growing up dad was a truckdriver and was often on the road, but when he returned I always knew he would ask me to go hunting with him. The two of us would spend hours in the woods waiting for the that unluck deer, turkey, coyote, ect, to come by. Some of the best mommets of my childhood were spent with dad in the deer woods. We would find the perfect tree, that was in the perfect spot, hoping find the perfect deer. I will never forget that elbow in my ribs, and that harsh whisper,"dont move, here they come"my heart would pound and my hands would shake with excitement. I would look at dad,he would be motionless, eyes never blinking, until that fateful moment when he would take the shot. Whether or not the shot was successfull I will never forget dads smile and his typical response"I knew they would be coming from there! ""Didnt I tell ya they would come from there?! "My heart would swell with pride, and I could not help but think that my dad was the smartest man in the world.

English HW- My Fav Book
Frederick Faust is best known as Max Brand(pen-name). A very popular fictional writer. He wrote books for many audiences. His books covered nearly every field including crime, fantasy, historical romance, espionage, westerns, scifi, adventure, animal stories, love, war, etc... He's probably best known for his western works, including my favorite Dead or Alive. In this novel, Brand depicts the character, young Nelson Gray, a typical cowboy. Gray was forced into a gunfight that was not of his making in the which he killed his man and was placed in prison under a murder charge. He was forced to break prison, escaping vigilantes. He had every intention of turning outlaw, bitter that his friends had not come to his aid until he met Bobbie Mead, a charming young woman who believes in his innocence. Through many turns and events and with Bobbie's influence, Gray manages to stay on the straight and narrow and eventually clear his name. Brand's realistic view of the West coupled with his outstanding writing abilities, make his books a well-worth read.
